OWNER AND SENIOR CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

Karine Satamian

Karine is a long time sportswoman. She played tennis and basketball at a national level and competed in numerous mini-triathlons. She discovered the Pilates method in 2004 while working in the health and fitness industry and it immediately sparked her passion for flowing, controlled and creative movement. So, when Karine founded her studio in 2008, it made sense to call it PLAY Pilates, reflecting the playfulness, sporty and positive spirit found in sports and the one she one she wishes to convey to anyone seeking well-being through movement and physical exercise.

She has practiced and taught the Pilates method for over 17 years. She first obtained her certification through the Swissbody Pilates Academy in Geneva. Then went on to focus her training in Classical Pilates and this led her to complete another certification with Power Pilates in the UK. In 2015, she completed an Intensive (Master’s) program with world renowned Pilates instructor Shari Berkowitz/The Vetical Workshop. In 2019, she trained to become a Teacher Trainer also with TVW (The Vertical Workshop). Her studio is to become the TVW’s training center in Europe for continuing education, doing Teacher Training. She looks forward to soon be sharing her experience and learnings with other passionate Pilates teachers.

SENIOR CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

Melania Mason

A classically-trained pilates instructor of over 15 years, Melania originally certified with the The Pilates Academy of Switzerland and subsequently with Power Pilates. She furthered her pilates training with hundreds of hours of continuing education, including participating in the Romana’s Pilates teacher training programme in Milan and New York and Jay Grimes’ The Work at Vintage Pilates in Los Angeles, CA.

Melania also practices and teaches yoga. She has obtained certifications from the Yoga Teachers College (200h) and the Barkan Method of Hot Yoga (300h).

A competitive swimmer in her youth, Melania still trains and competes avidly in masters swimming.

A great believer that movement heals, she looks forward to contributing to the achievement of your well-being goals.

CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

Anja Chastenet

Anja grew up in the Morges region. She has always had a passion for movement, especially dance: classical, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and Latin. In 2008, she even took part in the Swiss Hip-Hop Championships in Bulle.

In 2015, she left for Australia, where she lived for 8 years. It was on the Gold Coast that Anja discovered Pilates after a complicated pregnancy. With Pilates she rediscovered the discipline and passion for movement that enabled her to recover. She is a graduate of the Polestar Pilates school, which includes all the apparatus, and her Pilates certification also includes a clinical and rehabilitation approach.

Today, in her spare time, you’ll find her hiking in the mountains with her husband and children.

CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

Alisa Regnault

Alisa loves to move! Ever since she was a child, she’s been drawn to physical activity. This passion led her to make a career out of it, initially as a ballroom dance teacher in Russia. She came to Pilates after a trial class and fell in love with this method of exercise and the fluidity of its movements.

Her 8 years experience as a sports and Pilates coach in Russia and then in France has enabled her to build her experience, bring variety to her classes and adapt her lessons to her students’ objectives and needs.

Alisa emphasizes strength, balance and fluidity in her classes to improve health, aesthetics and physical capacity for all.

CERTIFIED TEACHER

Birgit Ehrenbolger

Birgit holds a “Licence Universitaire mention Enseignement” (University degree in Teaching), and initially trained in strength training and fitness at the “Fitspro” school where she was certified as a “Personal Trainer” in 2008.

An elite freediver, she has taken part in several world championships, setting four national and one world record in this discipline.

Following a serious accident, Birgit became interested in rehabilitation: she took physiotherapy courses in a variety of fields, and came across Pilates in 2009. Pilates was a revelation! Birgit completed the Pilates Institute curriculum and is certified in : “Pilates Studio Equipment” and “Pilates Matwork”.

Birgit has been teaching Pilates for fourteen years, and is keen to pass on all the benefits this method has to offer the body, both in terms of well-being and sporting performance.

CERTIFIED TEACHER

Felix Chavot

A sports enthusiast since childhood, I’ve always been drawn to physical challenges and activities that engage both body and mind. In 2015, I discovered the benefits of HIIT Cardio, and since then, I haven’t stopped exploring and perfecting my skills in various sporting disciplines.

I decided to turn my passion into my profession by joining the world of Pilates. While continuing to practice team sports, I broadened my horizons by incorporating Yoga and Calisthenics into my routine. This holistic approach enabled me to understand the importance of balancing body and mind for a healthy and fulfilling life.

As a Pilates instructor, I’m committed to offering my clients much more than just a physical workout. I am guided by a deep desire to bring about a lasting balance between physical and mental health. My teaching is geared towards helping my clients achieve their personal goals while cultivating a healthy mind in a healthy body.
