PLAY PILATES
Expertly taught small group live online classes for all levels, with our PlayPilates approach , focusing as much on quality of movement as on intensity of effort.
At PlayPilates we’re known for our expert instruction, our inclusive, personal approach and our attention to detail, whether inside the Studio or online.
Numbers are limited in these Zoom classes, so your teacher can keep an eye on everyone. Expect a safe and effective workout with plenty of clear and precise cueing, along with progressions and regressions for different abilities.
We’ve done our best to make booking an online live class as simple as possible.
You’ll find our online live class schedule in the Timetable, and you can book single or multiple classes online or via our App Mindbody , just as you would any other class.
Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive an email confirming your booking. About 30 mins before your class starts, you’ll receive a second email with a Zoom link – you’ll need that to access the class. If you are joining us for the first time, you’ll need to ensure that you’ve downloaded Zoom in advance and that you’re already logged in ahead of the class start time.
You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 12 hours before the class start time.
Please read our Terms and Conditions before booking, see Q&A.
Important: If you have any injuries or conditions that your PlayPilates teacher should be made aware of, please email us prior to participating in the online class.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that may affect your ability to participate in online classes, you should seek medical advice and obtain confirmation that is safe for you to take part before participating.
What is Zoom?
Zoom is the video software we use for the class. You can download it here. For help using zoom watch this video.
Troubleshooting: If your wifi of Zoom fails and you get kicked off…just go through the link or Meeting ID as you did before and come back on. No worries.
If the Teachers wifi or Zoom fails… we will do everything that we can to get back on. Please be patient. It is rare that this happens on Zoom, but…
Who far in advance must I register? And what happens once I register?
Please register for the class no later than 90 minutes in advance so that you can receive your class link and set up instructions.
Once you register you’ll receive a link via email about 30 minutes before the class to join in. The email is from info@playpilates.ch – so always check your Junk Mail folders.
It will say:
Participer à la réunion Zoom
https://zoom.us/j/4787861406
Just click on that link in the email to join the class on the Zoom platform.
Can I use any device, and which is best?
We recommend you use a computer (because the screen is bigger and you can see more) or a tablet, but you can also use a phone.
On a computer, you’ll see that if you move your cursor at the bottom left of your zoom screen you can click on the start video and the microphone will already be on.
What is the best way to set up my screen and my mat?
We recommend you set up your screen above the ground (on a TV stand, on a low chair and angling down is needed) so you can see it if lying on your back. Your Mat should be at an angle to the screen. Make sure the source of light in the room does not come from behind you.
Make sure you adjust the screensaver to 1 hour or to « Never ».
Your microphone will be set on MUTE during the class unless you have a question then please waive your hands.
