She played tennis and basketball at a national level and competed in numerous mini-triathlons. She discovered the Pilates method in 2004 while working in the health and fitness industry and it immediately sparked her passion for this creative and non-traditional physical conditioning method, which offers countless possibilities for anyone wishing to become\/stay in good physical shape.<\/p>\n<p>So, when Karine <strong>founded her studio in 2008<\/strong>, it made sense to<strong> call it PLAY Pilates, reflecting the playfulness, sporty and positive spirit found in sports<\/strong> and the one she wishes to convey to anyone seeking well-being and strength through movement and exercise.<\/p>\n<p>She has practiced and taught the Pilates method for over 18 years. Her certifications go from \u00a0the Swissbody Pilates Academy, to her training in Classical Pilates with the renown school Power Pilates, to an Intensive (Master\u2019s) program with world renowned Pilates instructor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverticalworkshop.com\">Shari Berkowitz\/The Vetical Workshop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Karine will start a <strong>Teacher Training course<\/strong> end of 2025 and she looks forward to be sharing her experience and learnings with other passionate teachers.
